The Thomas E. Smith Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to better the lives of those affected by and living with paralysis through financial and emotional support, as well as supporting preventive innovations that decrease the risk of spinal cord injuries.

The 125th Boston Marathon
On October 11, 2021 Thomas completed one of the most prestigious marathons in the world (and coincidentally, his hometown marathon), the Boston Marathon.
Thomas previously completed the marathon, 3 separate times. Once before his first accident in 2008, first time walking in 2018, and in 2019.
